Application Applications for the 2007 Session are available online or from the office of admissions (336) 770-3291. The application also requests two letters of recommendation and a list of pieces in the student’s repertoire. Enrollment is limited so applying early will assure candidates space in the program and residence halls. Audition Guitar applicants are asked to send a recording (tape, CD, VHS, or DVD) with two classical guitar selections of the students choice. The pieces may be of any level of difficulty. Repertoire which demonstrates the applicant’s all-around artistry, not just technical ability, is most meaningful. Students should be comfortable reading basic rhythms in at least the first position. Feel free to contact Joseph Pecoraro if you have any question about the reading level expectation. Live auditions may also be arranged. Students will be asked to sight-read on the day of orientation in order to be placed in ensembles and assigned appropriate parts. It is suggested that participants arrive having prepared at least one or two solo works. Ideally these are polished pieces which the student is very comfortable performing. This repertoire can be used as materials for recitals, performance classes, and lessons/masterclasses. Costs Costs for the workshop can be found listed here: Workshop Costs
